clinic FAQ

Still have questions? You know what to do...
  • Our Nurse Injectors are all Registered Nurses and have taken extensive training in injectables including specific courses for facial anatomy & Botox/Dysport dosing.

Our Nurses all work under the direction & supervision of our Owner & Advanced Nurse Injector, Jillian Schenk as well as our Medical Director, Dr. Joseph MacDonald.

This is what our Nurses do - All day, every day. You are in great hands with our team!

  • A consultation is, without a doubt, the most important part of your treatment journey.

Aesthetic treatments are medical procedures which means that a medically qualified practitioner needs to assess you, discuss the various treatment options, and make you aware of the potential risks and complications before commencing treatment.

If your aesthetic journey doesn’t start with an in-depth consultation followed by the option of a cooling-off period, please avoid taking things further.

The consultation process is vital for your safety - and also for ensuring you achieve the results that you're looking for.

During the assessment, the injector will take into account factors such as the shape of your face, the quality of your skin, and the symmetry of your features.

They may also consider your age, medical history, and any medications you are taking. By analyzing these factors, the injector can determine the most appropriate treatments to help you achieve your desired results.

  • We will send you information prior to your treatment - and everything is reviewed in detail with you at your consultation :)

We always recommend getting a good nights sleep, being well hydrated, and having something to eat prior to treatment. This just ensures you feel your best!

Avoiding alcohol & too much caffeine prior to treatment can also minimize bruising. Yes, you can still have a coffee, but maybe stick to one cup ;)

You can come make up free if you’d like, but we will thoroughly cleanse the area prior to treatment.

  • We provide post-care instructions after your treatment via email as well as a physical copy in clinic if you’d like :) In general we recommend:

    • No strenuous activity for at least 24 hours*

    • Avoid hot tubs/saunas/steam showers for at least 24 hours*

    • Do not lie flat for 4 hours, or press on the treatment areas for at least 24 hours*

    • Do not have any facial treatments/lasers/massage for 24 hours*

(* depending on your treatment post care instructions)

These recommendations are to ensure the product stays where it was injected - and the muscles are not manipulated to move the product around.

  • Your consultation is a dedicated time to review all risks in detail with you - so you can ask questions & get the full details before deciding to proceed - Your comfort & safety are our top priority. Always.

Your Nurse Injector will discuss any potential risks or complications associated with the recommended treatments, as well as the expected outcomes and how long they will last.

They will then use this information to make a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs and goals.

You should always feel listened to, valued and comfortable asking questions. Working with a skilled and experienced Nurse Injector, you can be confident that you will receive safe, ethical treatment.

  • Not quite yet - Injectables are not tested on pregnant or breast feeding women. For your health & safety, we do not recommend getting treatment for anyone who is pregnant, breast feeding, or trying to conceive.

We do have amazing pregnancy safe skincare options available if you are interested in a discussion - And we would absolutely love to see you once you are ready for treatment :)

  • If it is your first time getting treatment, or your first time at our clinic, we always recommend a two-week follow up appointment. The appointment is free of charge.

This appointment allows us to compare your before and after photos, go over any concerns you have, and if necessary (although not common) top up your dose to ensure everything is sitting absolutely perfectly!

Everyone is different so the product will take effect & setlle differently - We want to ensure you at 100% happy with your results and this appointment ensures we can do that.

  • Yes! You can park in the parking lot and refrain from paying for parking. When you come into the clinic, we can register your vehicle free of charge.

Otherwise, parking is $3.75/hour at the pay station in the lobby - But really, we got you ;)

  • It is considered unethical to offer discounts and promotions on medical treatments including neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Letybo, etc.) and dermal fillers, as it is unethical to incentivize a medical procedure in Canada.

We are grounded in ethics so we do not blurr the lines by offering BOGO or discounted products or treatments.

We do have a Referral Program & a Loyalty Program that canbe discussed at your appointment. Our tsl insiders email list is an exclusive email to your inbox with sales on skincare & further details giveaways, and all things injectables. Send us an email to find out more….Or simply scroll down to the bottom of this page

  • Yes! We want to ensure our patients are comfortable with treatment - and that includes pricing. We have an option to finance your treatment if this is soemthing you are interested in - you can talk to your Nurse Injector for details or simply click HERE

  • We are SO grateful that our patients tell their friends & family about us. Ask us about our program & we can go over details with you at your appointment.

  • Ask us about our loyalty program when you come in for your appointment!

  • Generally, we prefer to have our appointments as one-on-one with just you and your Nurse Injector. This allows us to make the most of the allotted time, stay on schedule to respect other patient appointments, and gives you the space to focus on the discussion.

If you want to bring another person to your appointment, please confirm with your Nurse Injector prior to your treatment - otherwise we may ask them to wait in our front waiting area.
